About My Project

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Website Info:
This website is simple to navigate around. To view my 101 Goals list, click here. When I complete a task in full or in part (such as visiting one state instead of 50 as a whole), I will make a new post. The posts can be viewed by clicking on the task/book/movie/state. I will describe in detail how and when the task was completed as well as throw in some comments about its difficulty or lack thereof.

Cradle of Filth

Cradle of Filth

Tonight I went to my first concert since January 1 of this year. The main event included Cradle of Filth. It's prelude was played by The 69 Eyes as well as another good band whose name I can't remember. I really like The 69 Eyes. In fact, I bought their album "Paris Kills." They sound like 80's pop shined over with death metal. Interesting, to say the least. But they were good. Cradle of Filth was alright. They sound much better on their albums than in concert, but who doesn't? It was almost more interesting watching the crowd than the bands, however. Many crazy goth-dressed people had a few too many beers and spawned quite a large mosh pit. Body passing never seemed to slow. Cups with ice flew all over the place. In addition, several people began throwing their clothes up onto the stage! Fun time! I was watching from the "VIP Balcony," as this played at the Rave in Milwaukee. I walked around a bit before Cradle of Filth began playing and saw a few local bands in certain parts of the facility.

Overall, this was a great concert and I would not mind seeing The 69 Eyes or Cradle of Filth again. Because this was just one concert (despite numerous bands playing), I will only count this as one band. I had only one ticket. I am planing on attending several other concerts in the upcomming months including, but not limited to Trivium, Lamb of God, and the Snow Patrol.

Stay classy, fellow bloggers.
