Tonight I watched the single greatest movie of all time. Gone With The Wind not only brought forth numerous emotions that could be felt in numerous circumstances, but dramatically accentuated the theme of jealousy for a human being. I will have no problem in the world watching this long movie over and over again. I also would not at all mind reading the book.
Through war, love, hatred, birth, death, poverty, famine, wealth, content, and discontent, Gone With The Wind tied the story together very well. For being so long, I hadn't even a hint of boredom whatsoever. Overall, I was very impressed with story and the emotions exposed through ALL of the characters.
Gone With The Wind, #4 on AFI's "The 100 Greatest Movies of All Time," describes a girl's life as she fights to obtain a man she will never love. She went through war, poverty, and famine. She married three times. Yet upon the opportunity of achieving him, she gives him up, realizing she doesn't love him at all. She loves the man she is currently married to. This man was in love with her since the moment he first laid eyes on her. He realized, however, that she aimed to acheive her life-long "love" solely and that her marriage to him really meant nothing. As a result, he leaves her at the same moment that she realizes she's in love with him and can't see him go. The death of characters that mean a lot to viewer tend to die, causing the viewer to tear just a little bit. ;-) This is not the only cause, however, for tearing up. One can feel the love shown between all of these characters, as well as the emotional strife that many feel as they can do nothing to satisfy their emotional needs.
I highly recommend all of you to read the book and/or watch the movie. I can guarantee you, you will not be disappointed!
About My Project
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Website Info:
This website is simple to navigate around. To view my 101 Goals list, click here. When I complete a task in full or in part (such as visiting one state instead of 50 as a whole), I will make a new post. The posts can be viewed by clicking on the task/book/movie/state. I will describe in detail how and when the task was completed as well as throw in some comments about its difficulty or lack thereof.

I didn't see this great movie until it was re-released in theaters in the 90s .. I'm glad I got to see it on the big screen, because it is indeed the great American epic .. Did you know that the great Margaret Mitchell died after getting hit by a car crossing the street right outside her house in Atlanta? So sad
