Star Wars (1977) is the American Film Institute's 15th Greatest Film of All Time. Now, I have seen this movie before, but it has been quite a long time and I but vaguely remembered it.
I love the futuristic setting presented, though all the characters retained their 70's hair styles. There aren't many emotionally-based themes shown, but it is a mighty fun action movie. It isn't very long, either, like Gone With The Wind was.
I believe it was great to show Hans come back to assist the fleet with destroying the moon-sized spacecraft. It showed that Princess Leiah got through to him, since no one else was ever able to. Nonetheless, I do feel that enough emotion was shown when Luke discovered the burnt corpses that once were his aunt and uncle. He seemed rather careless to me, actually.
My overall thoughts with this movie are mixed. I like the action and the "special effects," as it were. I find them interesting, when considering the technology available in the seventies. I do wish there was more emotion shown. I liked the movie overall, but I wouldn't place Star Wars on the list of the greatest movies of all time.
Stay classy, fellow bloggers.
About My Project
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Website Info:
This website is simple to navigate around. To view my 101 Goals list, click here. When I complete a task in full or in part (such as visiting one state instead of 50 as a whole), I will make a new post. The posts can be viewed by clicking on the task/book/movie/state. I will describe in detail how and when the task was completed as well as throw in some comments about its difficulty or lack thereof.
