About My Project

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Website Info:
This website is simple to navigate around. To view my 101 Goals list, click here. When I complete a task in full or in part (such as visiting one state instead of 50 as a whole), I will make a new post. The posts can be viewed by clicking on the task/book/movie/state. I will describe in detail how and when the task was completed as well as throw in some comments about its difficulty or lack thereof.

Casablanca

This morning I watched Casablanca, #2 on AFI's '100 Grestest Movies of All Time.' It was simply amazing! I love how the girl was willing to leave her husband to be with a man she knew nothing about, yet loved very much. Rick loved her so much that he sent her away with her husband: a logically-based decision. He kept his head.

Although Rick was very cynical and selfish, he proved himself to be very sentimental several times during the movie. It expounds on the theme of "Don't judge a book by its cover." His cynic personality is a result of a broken heart and his selfishness is the aftermath of abandonment. It goes to show that by falling in love, you are making yourself vulnerable to change, whether it be good or bad.

All-in-all I am very happy that I took the time to watch this film. I would enjoy seeing it again any time. I encourage all of you to see it as well!

Stay classy, fellow bloggers.
