About My Project

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Website Info:
This website is simple to navigate around. To view my 101 Goals list, click here. When I complete a task in full or in part (such as visiting one state instead of 50 as a whole), I will make a new post. The posts can be viewed by clicking on the task/book/movie/state. I will describe in detail how and when the task was completed as well as throw in some comments about its difficulty or lack thereof.

Lamb Of God

Today I went to the Eagle's Club in Milwaukee to see Lamb Of God, Trivium, Machine Head, and Gojira. I happened to be runny quite late because I went way out of my way to pick up a friend who bought a ticket to the concert, too. This was the best concert I have ever attended! The sound was great, the lighting was amazing, and I was with a fun crowd! At any rate, I missed Gojira, but I really didn't mind. Machine Head surprised me. I wasn't expecting much from them, but they turned out to be quite good. Trivium was very good. They had spotlights that roamed throughout the crowd showing a batman-style Trivium logo. These lights moved to the beat of the music throughout the entire concert. I questioned if Lamb of God had the capacity of impressing me more than Trivium had, but perhaps I spoke too soon... Lamb of God had double the lighting, better effects, and played some amazing music. Some guy in a wheelchair made an escape from the crazy crowd to the stage. Everyone cheered for him, haha. I only heard about this, though. I had to leave fairly early because I needed to be home before curfew.

On my way out of the Rave, my friend and I encountered some homeless guy on the streets begging us for money for some cigarettes. My accomplice granted his request but I refused. We walked into the thrift shop where the homeless man loitered and purchased a bottle of pink lemonade. It was very interesting trying to pay for it when the guy behind the counter also stood behind three inches of bulletproof glass. At any rate, we walked to the truck and went on our way, only to get on I94 west and off on H41 north, which landed us in the ghetto of Milwaukee and 'Tosa. I forgot that highway 41 was just a city street for quite a distance before developing itself into a freeway. Soon after, when highways 41 and 45 separate, I kept going on 41 when I should have take 45 to Kewaskum. So, I had to get off someplace west of West Bend and navigate around a lake before finding highway 33 and traveling east to the highway 45 junction. What a pain! After taking 45 north to Kewaskum and dropping my friend off, I managed to travel all the way back to my house by Lake Michigan with seemingly closed eyes. I don't even remember how I got into bed.

Haha, this story of mine is longer than my description of the concert!
