About My Project

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Website Info:
This website is simple to navigate around. To view my 101 Goals list, click here. When I complete a task in full or in part (such as visiting one state instead of 50 as a whole), I will make a new post. The posts can be viewed by clicking on the task/book/movie/state. I will describe in detail how and when the task was completed as well as throw in some comments about its difficulty or lack thereof.

Second Day

Today was absolutely gorgeous! It was warm and the sun was shining brightly once again. I went for a run, the first of two for this week. I ran a 5K and my pace was 4:30 min/km. I really need to improve this. I made a goal on nike+ to run 5 runs in the next month under a 7:00 min/mile pace. I followed up my run with pushups as was able to do 40 consecutively. It may be a while before I will reach 100.

I watched Casablanca today and I really like it a lot. Only 99 movies left!

I didn't post anything yesturday about my Bible reading. It covered Genesis 1-3 as it talked about the Creation of the world and Adam & Eve's fall into sin. Today I read Genesis 4-7, which talked about Cain killing Abel, the history of Noah's line, and the preparation for the Great Flood.

The Wikipedia article for today was about a Turkish soccer club. (I have not the slightest clue as to how to pronounce it correctly.) It had the history of all the players who played on the team, too. Great fun.

Because it was such a nice day out and remained cloudless, I went stargazing again! Tonight the Cow Jumping Over the Moon was on the agenda, as well as a spot on the moon that people used to believe told of bad weather brewing. I was able to see both of them and didn't stay out too long.

I can't wait to learn even more!

Stay classy, fellow bloggers.
